Looking Flawless and Classy

Hi lovelies , you are welcome to my blog. Today, I will be talking about simple ways to look flawless and classy. I am here to introduce you to the wonderful world of makeup.

Some people see makeup to be stressful but trust me dearies it’s simple as a,b,c,d. For people who are new to makeup I am glad to enlighten you about the whole process.

To those who have little or no idea, no worries I will elaborate on some few tips. InnoWeb got you covered.

Makeup is an essential cosmetic that enhances our beauty. Most people believe that makeup is only meant for ladies by hey guys also use makeup but not as loud as ladies do.

Makeup tutorial for men

I believe makeup does not necessarily mean applying foundation and all that comes with it. When we wear just eye lashes, we have a till used makeup.

This is because we are wearing something that will enhance our beauty. Common makeup products are concealer, foundation, face powder or press powder, contour powder or creams, eyebrow pencil, mascara, etc.

Makeup tutorial for ladies

Just in case you are new to makeup and you have no idea or little idea, don’t worry I got you covered. Here a some uses of these very common makeup.

1. Pressed powder or Face powder: It set the foundation, giving it a matte finish and also to conceal small flaws or blemishes.

2. Foundation: Evens out the skin color. Most at times it’s in a liquid form. It’s the starting block for makeup use after the primer.

3. Face Primer: Applied before the foundation and reduces the appearance of the pore size. It’s also prolongs the wear of makeup.

4. Mascara: It lengthens and thickens the eyelash

5. Contour powder or cream: Used to define the face for E.g.: giving an illusion of a slimmer face or to even modify a person’s face shape as desired.

6. Concealer: It could be used to draw the shape of the eyebrow and also cover imperfection of the skin such as blemishes and marks.

7. Bronzer: Gives skin color by adding a golden or bronze glow.

8. Eyeshadow palette: brightens your eye with a pop of color

9. Setting spray: it allows makeup last longer and gives it a smooth finish.

The two types of makeup styles are bridal and what I personally call everyday makeup. Bridal makeup as the names goes are for mostly brides and wedding guests. It’s often loud.

Everyday makeup is applying small quantity of makeup for work, school or church. It’s often dim and simple. In Ghana, we have makeup brands like eranissbyhabiba, yo’she, paba, etc.

I will tell you some few tips on do’s and don’t about makeup. The Do’s about makeup:
1. Always try to get your shade of your foundation.

2. Try as much as possible to avoid using black pencil for your eyebrow.

3. If your lipstick is nude, always use a lip liner to draw the shape of your lips first.

4. When drawing your eyebrow, the beginning of your brow should be lighter than the tip (ombré)

5. Blend your foundation very well with a blending foam before applying any other makeup.

The Don’t about makeup:
1. When contouring, never use an extremely light shade which will make you look white.

2. When drawing your brow, the tip of your brow should not exceed you the length of your eye too much.

3. The arc on your brow should not be before or after the pupil. It should be at the center of your pupil.

HUMAN HAIR BUSINESS . ( DID YOU KNOW?)

Human hair is a gift from God and forms part of the human body. It is one part of the body that we all care about. Some men love to cut their hair and some also leave it as it is. As generations pass, more and more hair styles emerge.

You choose whatever hair style you want, as some prefer different styles to have different looks. Hairstyles have no expiry dates since the younger generations often bring back old school hair styles.

Hair collected is categorised into two types:

* Remy human hair:

This is the highest grade of human hair because of its natural looks. Since the hair cuticles face the same direction, no treatment is required. This hair is mostly collected from the rural temples in India during annual rituals.

Female Hindu pilgrims often shave their hair as a sacrifice to the gods. Sacrificed human hair from people are collected in bags and sold to interested persons for cash.

*Non Remy hair

This goes through a process because the cuticles do not face same direction. It is treated with hydrochloric acid which reduces its quality. Most of the virgin human hair sourced from India are from rural temples and villages.

Most of these women in rural India have natural, high quality hair that may have never been treated with chemicals.

Take a moment, let that sink in. Now, take a breath.

Before the 1989, the hair industry had little attention, it only targeted the American and European markets. Perming, mesh, dreadlocks, back bush hair and others were the order of the day.

Some women also prefer to cut their hair, perm cut, afro cut. This brought about a lot to salon businesses and hair dressing training schools.

DREADLOCKS

PERMING

So many things have changed and human hair is one of the biggest businesses of today. Hair means so much to both men and women as it gives a beautiful and fashionable look. Some people go to the extent of having hair transplants. Your hair is indeed your pride and whoever said this was right.

Understanding Skin (types of skin)

Have you ever wondered what skin type you have? You’ll find all the important information to allow you to find out your skin type here.

Every skin is unique in its own way. Your skin type is determined by genetics. However, the condition of your skin usually varies greatly due to various internal and external factors it is subjected to.

There are 4 basic types of skin: normal, dry, oily and combination skin. You may wonder what the difference is. Your type depends on some factors like:

  • The amount of water in your skin, which affects its comfort and elasticity.
  • How oily it is, which affects its softness.
  • How sensitive it is.

Knowing your skin type is important for choosing the best skincare treatments and products. It also helps to customize a personal skincare routine to help give you a better idea of how to treat acne breakouts and achieve smooth, clear skin. Also, it helps to promote best skin health, delay the signs of aging, and emphasize your best features and natural beauty. Every skin is unique and each skin type has a specific set of characteristics and symptoms, and requires special attention.

Keep reading to find out more about skin types.

Normal Skin

Supple and soft, fine-pored and a rosy complexion: if that’s what you see when you look in the mirror, then you have normal skin. Normal skin lies between dry and oily skin. Normal skin type produces little and enough amount of oil necessary for the face. With normal skin, the pores are rather small and are not easily visible. Normal skin is not a substitute for perfect skin. Every skin type can become better with the help of a good skin care routine.

Dry Skin

Dry skin may lack some of the natural moisturizing factors that help the skin retain water. The skin produces less sebum than other skin types. Sebum is a natural oil that the skin secretes to keep our skin soft and supple. Here are some characteristics you should look out for:

  • Your skin is prone to redness, irritation and infection
  • Your skin texture feels rough
  • Your skin feels tight and brittle, lacks elasticity

If you have a dry skin, one thing you should not take lightly is the use of a moisturizer. You must chose a moisturiser that can help replenish your skin.

Oily Skin

You’ve probably asked yourself why you have an oily skin. Oily skin is the result of both genetic factors and hormonal changes experienced in an individual’s lifetime. If you have oily skin, it might be as a result of the overproduction of sebum. Although sebum helps the skin because it helps protect and moisturize your skin. However, it’s overproduction causes the skin to become very oily. This can lead to clogged pores and acne. If you have an oily skin, you tend to notice a great deal of shine on your face, and may deal with terrible acne breakouts.

Below are some characteristics you should look out for:

  • Enlarged pores
  • Dull or shiny, thick complexion
  • Blackheads, pimples, or other blemishes

Combination Skin

Combination skin from it’s name, combines two skin types: normal, dry or oily skin. Combination skin produces oil at the T-zone and is either dry or normal at the other parts of the face. The T-zone includes the forehead, nose, and chin. Dealing with both dry and oily skin means finding the perfect skin care regimen that’s strong enough to exfoliate without irritating your skin.

Here are some factors you should look out for:

  • oily shine
  • tends to develop impurities in the T-zone
  • the cheek area is more dry

Here is How To TEST Your Skin Type Using Tissue Paper

Step 1: Wash your face with warm water

Step 2: Damp your face with a dry towel – please, do not rub or squeeze your face.

Step 3: Wait for about 20 – 30 minutes.

Step 4: Place a light tissue paper on your T-zone or your forehead for at least 2 minutes with a little force.

Now, check if the tissue paper has a trace of oil or not. Remove the tissue and check for the other parts of your face. If the skin produces excess oil, it shows you have oily skin; else, you have dry skin.

If the oily trace is visible but faint on the T-zone but dry on the other parts, you have combination skin.

If the skin looks fine, adequately moisturised then you have a normal skin.

HOW TO LOOK EXPENSIVE IN YOUR LESS EXPENSIVE CLOTHES, (PART 2).

• Go by the 70/30 rule for fashion:

In understanding that all trends will die at some point, and even though most come back around later, you can get more wear out of your clothes when you have basics that can go with multiple outfits.

70% of your wardrobe should be basics, 30% should be trendy.

Go for nudes, neutrals, and basics like tank tops, midi skirt, jeans, blazers and one-toned shirts. Then you can go out and buy a few trendy articles of clothing for your closet, like a sequined blazer, or ruffled-tops, or may be some statements making shoes.

• Go all-black look:

Everyone looks good in black and it matches everything. There is a reason why black is always viewed as chic-literally.

And it hides stains easily! Black instantly boosts your look and gives a sense of class. When in doubt, throw on a savvy all-black look, played up by different textures, to instantly look stylish.

• Mix and Match your outfit to get smart look:

Speaking of mixing, mix and match alternating patterns to get the smart look,Go for inverted stripes, flipped color schemas and even mixed and matched colors with a different textile feel for an added pop!

• Let your undergarments fit properly:

Make sure that your undergarments fit properly to avoid bulges and awkward looking lines, ill fitting undergarments will make you look bulky and your clothes plain, Ensuring things like your bra and panty lines- especially if you are wearing tighter fitting clothes are smoothed out will instantly make your outfit seem pulled together.

COMPONENTS OF PHYSICAL FITNESS

Acquiring good level of physical fitness is a thing that we should all aspire to do . Most of us get scared on the mere mention of fitness, but what they don’t know is that there are so many types of fitness and on today’s blog we will be concentrating more on the physical aspect of fitness .

Cardiorespiratory performances

Cardiorespiratory endurance indicates how well our body can supply energy during physical activity via the body’s circulatory and respiratory systems. Activities that help improve cardiorespiratory endurance are those that cause an elevated heart rate for a sustained period.

These activities include:

• swimming

• brisk walking

• jogging

• cycling

People who regularly take part in these activities are more likely to be physically fit in terms of cardiorespiratory endurance. It is important to begin these activities slowly and gradually increase the intensity.

Muscular strength

This is the amount of force a muscle can produce , this can be in the form of bench press, leg press, or bicep curl. Without muscular strength our bodies will be weak and we might not be able to keep it in place like we want , keeping fit is not just about having the “Hollywood’s “models body but , also how we are able to keep our muscles and joints healthy and strong .

Muscular Endurance

This is about how muscles can endure when performing an activity without any complications for extended period of time , rather than just lifting these heavy equipment in the gym for some few seconds because you got tired , the muscles is suppose to keep up and endure for some minutes.

Well I guess most of us don’t have endurance in muscles right? I advice that, the best way to increase this is to train with light weight for 20-25kg range. Doing this will help train the muscle fibers which are needed for the muscle endurance. The higher you go with the ranges , the longer period of exercises you without being worn out always.

Flexibility

Don’t you wish to be flexible? Well this is one of the most important, but we don’t really pay much attention to it when it comes to the components of fitness. Without flexibility the joints in the muscles would end up becoming stiff and movement would be limited . This type ensures the individual’s body can move through the whole range of motion without stress, pain or stiffness .

Do you want to know if you are flexible or not? So then try leaning forward to touch your toes . Those with good flexible muscles will definitely be able to do so , while those who are not will not be able to do it . This test is also a very good way to asses your flexibility.

Healthy hair? (We’ve got you )

Do you have a damaged hair?

Is your hair brittle and breaking?

Do you want a moist and strong hair?

Here are a few tips to get you that dream hair.

The beauty of an individual especially a girl has a lot to do with her hair. Hey girl, we got you on this;

*Try rice water rinse for your damaged hair:

Research suggests that the water you pour down the drain while rinsing rice, can actually help your hair. Inositol is an ingredient found in rice water. This has been shown to strengthen and repair damaged hair from the roots to the edges of your hair.

*Eating a balanced diet:

A diet loaded with foods like fruits, vegetables and whole grains has a lot of benefits, including healthy hair. Biotin, Iron, vitamin A and C are all important for strong luscious hair.

*Protect from the sun:

Too much sun exposure can make your hair brittle and prone to breakage. Lighter-colored hair (blonde and gray) are also more susceptible to sun damage. To protect against this, you ought to wear a hat or use a UV(ultraviolet) protection product.

Damaged hair often lacks the natural oil and moisture that coats the outside of the cuticle, without this, your hair loses its shine.

To sum it all up,

. moisturize daily to have that hair you have always been wishing for.

.Skip products that boast a“ long-lasting hold”

.Avoid using too much heat tools.
