Some people see makeup to be stressful but trust me dearies it’s simple as a,b,c,d. For people who are new to makeup I am glad to enlighten you about the whole process.

To those who have little or no idea, no worries I will elaborate on some few tips. InnoWeb got you covered.

Makeup is an essential cosmetic that enhances our beauty. Most people believe that makeup is only meant for ladies by hey guys also use makeup but not as loud as ladies do.

Makeup tutorial for men

I believe makeup does not necessarily mean applying foundation and all that comes with it. When we wear just eye lashes, we have a till used makeup.

This is because we are wearing something that will enhance our beauty. Common makeup products are concealer, foundation, face powder or press powder, contour powder or creams, eyebrow pencil, mascara, etc.

Makeup tutorial for ladies

Just in case you are new to makeup and you have no idea or little idea, don’t worry I got you covered. Here a some uses of these very common makeup.

1. Pressed powder or Face powder: It set the foundation, giving it a matte finish and also to conceal small flaws or blemishes.

2. Foundation: Evens out the skin color. Most at times it’s in a liquid form. It’s the starting block for makeup use after the primer.

3. Face Primer: Applied before the foundation and reduces the appearance of the pore size. It’s also prolongs the wear of makeup.

4. Mascara: It lengthens and thickens the eyelash

5. Contour powder or cream: Used to define the face for E.g.: giving an illusion of a slimmer face or to even modify a person’s face shape as desired.

6. Concealer: It could be used to draw the shape of the eyebrow and also cover imperfection of the skin such as blemishes and marks.

7. Bronzer: Gives skin color by adding a golden or bronze glow.

8. Eyeshadow palette: brightens your eye with a pop of color

9. Setting spray: it allows makeup last longer and gives it a smooth finish.

The two types of makeup styles are bridal and what I personally call everyday makeup. Bridal makeup as the names goes are for mostly brides and wedding guests. It’s often loud.

Everyday makeup is applying small quantity of makeup for work, school or church. It’s often dim and simple. In Ghana, we have makeup brands like eranissbyhabiba, yo’she, paba, etc.

I will tell you some few tips on do’s and don’t about makeup. The Do’s about makeup:
1. Always try to get your shade of your foundation.

2. Try as much as possible to avoid using black pencil for your eyebrow.

3. If your lipstick is nude, always use a lip liner to draw the shape of your lips first.

4. When drawing your eyebrow, the beginning of your brow should be lighter than the tip (ombré)

5. Blend your foundation very well with a blending foam before applying any other makeup.

The Don’t about makeup:
1. When contouring, never use an extremely light shade which will make you look white.

2. When drawing your brow, the tip of your brow should not exceed you the length of your eye too much.

3. The arc on your brow should not be before or after the pupil. It should be at the center of your pupil.

How To Clean Your Makeup

Hey people, welcome back to my blog. I promised you that I’d come back and I actually did. Today I’ll be talking about how to clean your makeup and also not forgetting the effects of leaving your makeup on your face overnight.

I’ll show you a short and precise video of how to clean your makeup.

Just Incase you’re not too clear with the video, I’ll give some simple steps to follow

1. First wipe your makeup with wipes. Scented or not.

2. Wash with clean water or use a face towel to with soap to wash your face again after using the wipes. Kindly keep it away from your eyes.

3. After washing your face with the face towel, don’t forget to rinse.

4. Pat dry your face.

5. Use a face cleanser (optional)

6. Moisturize with a face cream or oil.

Kindly emphasize on the eyelid or eyelashes if only you applied an eyeliner, mascara or eyeshadow. This is because sometimes it becomes very difficult to clean.

Here are some effects of leaving makeup overnight

1. Wrinkles

2. Breakout

3. Dry skin or skin irritation

4. Chapped lips

5. Eye infection

Apart from the effect you will have in your body or skin, sleeping with makeup can stain your bedspread or your nightwear

By the time you wake up the next morning, you’ll see so many stains on you pillowcase and bedspread or bedsheets.

When your bedsheet is white, it becomes very visible and sometimes difficult to wash. In worst scenario, the stain might the there forever.

What to eat daily when hungry

In order to keep healthy , it is is very important and essential to eat healthy daily and on regular basis . Below are some help to the intake of the right meals at the right time .

A balanced diet is one that gives your body the nutrients it needs to function correctly. To get the proper nutrition from your diet, you should consume the majority of your daily calories in:

  • fresh fruits
  • fresh vegetables
  • Whole grains
The amount of time between breakfast and lunch is way too long. But it doesn’t have to feel that way.

If you want to feel energized and full for longer, you should make sure to eat a nutritious breakfast with a lot of protein

. In the afternoon or for lunch , you need to take in a more heavier meal which can keep you up till dinner or supper . Below are some of these meals

6 to 8 servings of grains. These include bread, cereal, rice, and pasta, and at least 3 servings should be from whole grains. A serving of bread is one slice while a serving of cereal is 1/2 (cooked) to 1 cup (ready-to-eat). A serving of rice or pasta is 1/2 cup cooked (1 ounce dry). Save fat-laden baked goods such as croissants, muffins, and donuts for an occasional treat.

. At night time or in the evening, you need not to eat much in order to prevent the body from getting heavy which result to a bad sleep and also to prevent too much fat from entering the body . It is advisable to take as much fruits and vegetables as you can

2 to 4 servings of fruits and 4 to 6 servings of vegetables. Most fruits and vegetables are naturally low in fat, making them a great addition to your healthy diet. Fruits and vegetables also provide the fiber, vitamins, and minerals you need for your body’s systems to function at peak performance. Fruits and vegetables also will add flavor to a healthy diet. It’s best to serve them fresh, steamed, or cut up in salads.

  • 2 to 3 servings of milk, yogurt, and cheese. Choose dairy products wisely. Go for fat-free or reduced-fat milk or cheeses. A serving of dairy is equal to 1 cup of milk or yogurt or 1.5 to 2 ounces of cheese.
  • 2 to 3 servings of meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts. For a healthy diet, the best ways to prepare beef, pork, veal, lamb, poultry, and fish is to bake or broil them.

Human hair is a gift from God and forms part of the human body. It is one part of the body that we all care about. Some men love to cut their hair and some also leave it as it is. As generations pass, more and more hair styles emerge.

Hair collected is categorised into two types:

* Remy human hair:

This is the highest grade of human hair because of its natural looks. Since the hair cuticles face the same direction, no treatment is required. This hair is mostly collected from the rural temples in India during annual rituals.

Female Hindu pilgrims often shave their hair as a sacrifice to the gods. Sacrificed human hair from people are collected in bags and sold to interested persons for cash.

*Non Remy hair

This goes through a process because the cuticles do not face same direction. It is treated with hydrochloric acid which reduces its quality. Most of the virgin human hair sourced from India are from rural temples and villages.

Most of these women in rural India have natural, high quality hair that may have never been treated with chemicals.

         Before the 1989, the hair industry had little attention, it only targeted the American and European markets. Perming, mesh, dreadlocks, back bush hair and others were the order of the day.

Kontomire is basically cocoyam leaves. Cocoyam or Taro (Colocasia esculenta as it is called Scientifically ) is a starchy edible tuber and bears broad greenish leaves. There are 4 basic types of skin: normal, dry, oily and combination skin. You may wonder what the difference is. Your type depends on some factors like:

Knowing your skin type is important for choosing the best skincare treatments and products. Also, it helps to promote best skin health, delay the signs of aging, and emphasize your best features and natural beauty. Every skin is unique and each skin type has a specific set of characteristics and symptoms, and requires special attention.

Normal Skin

Supple and soft, fine-pored and a rosy complexion: if that’s what you see when you look in the mirror, then you have normal skin. Normal skin lies between dry and oily skin. If you have oily skin, it might be as a result of the overproduction of sebum. Although sebum helps the skin because it helps protect and moisturize your skin. However, it’s overproduction causes the skin to become very oily. This can lead to clogged pores and acne. If you have an oily skin, you tend to notice a great deal of shine on your face, and may deal with terrible acne breakouts.

Below are some characteristics you should look out for:

  • Enlarged pores
  • Dull or shiny, thick complexion
  • Blackheads, pimples, or other blemishes

Combination Skin

Combination skin from it’s name, combines two skin types: normal, dry or oily skin. Combination skin produces oil at the T-zone and is either dry or normal at the other parts of the face. The T-zone includes the forehead, nose, and chin. Dealing with both dry and oily skin means finding the perfect skin care regimen that’s strong enough to exfoliate without irritating your skin.

Step 1: Wash your face with warm water

Step 2: Damp your face with a dry towel – please, do not rub or squeeze your face.

Step 3: Wait for about 20 – 30 minutes.

Step 4: Place a light tissue paper on your T-zone or your forehead for at least 2 minutes with a little force.

Now, check if the tissue paper has a trace of oil or not. Remove the tissue and check for the other parts of your face. If the skin produces excess oil, it shows you have oily skin; else, you have dry skin.

If the oily trace is visible but faint on the T-zone but dry on the other parts, you have combination skin.

If the skin looks fine, adequately moisturised then you have a normal skin.

Well I guess most of us don’t have endurance in muscles right? I advice that, the best way to increase this is to train with light weight for 20-25kg range. Doing this will help train the muscle fibers which are needed for the muscle endurance. The higher you go with the ranges , the longer period of exercises you without being worn out always.


Don’t you wish to be flexible? Well this is one of the most important, but we don’t really pay much attention to it when it comes to the components of fitness. Without flexibility the joints in the muscles would end up becoming stiff and movement would be limited . This type ensures the individual’s body can move through the whole range of motion without stress, pain or stiffness .

Do you want to know if you are flexible or not? So then try leaning forward to touch your toes . Those with good flexible muscles will definitely be able to do so , while those who are not will not be able to do it . This test is also a very good way to asses your flexibility.
